Job Title: Front of house - approx 1+ days pw

Location: Sunshine Cafe & Yoga, Penryn

Hours: 5+ hours a week.

Holiday: Accrued holiday allowance.

Pay: Rate dependent on age.

Job Summary

We are looking to invite a new person to the Cafe Team to join our small family here at Sunshine Cafe & Yoga in Penryn.

Our mission is to provide simple and delicious plant based food and drinks to our customers who come to use our space. This is a great opportunity for an individual who would like to work with a friendly team, in an inspiring and relaxed environment.

We are open all year round and as we are open everyday of the week, we are looking for an individual who is able to work across weekdays and weekends - ideal for someone looking for some variety and work-life balance. Some barista experience is essential.

You will report directly to and have support from the Cafe Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

Work across weekends and some weekdays
Provide a friendly service while taking orders and processing payments
Prepare and serve high quality drinks and food in a timely and efficient manner
Keeping the cafe neat and tidy at all times
Extensive knowledge of all the cafe’s and studio’s products and services, and sign post customers who wish to know more about our facilities
Go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction and enjoyment
Health and safety procedures to be followed to a high standard

Essential qualities

Ability to provide examples of excellent customer service in previous roles
Experience working in a cafe environment
Barista experience
A friendly and professional attitude
Willing to be part of a team and work hard
A high standard of personal hygiene with a neat and tidy appearance
Passionate about plant based food and drink
Able to use a computer to keep track of any updates and emails sent from the team
