Gong Yoga Nidra
This special Saturday afternoon session will begin with some physical movement and breathwork to energise and balance the body ready for our deeply relaxing guided meditation of yoga nidra and gong baths. Yoga nidra ‘yogic sleep’ is a healing, restorative form of guided meditation systematically working through the ‘5 levels of existence’ – physical body, energy body, emotional body, knowledge body and bliss body. The combined playing of the gong carries these vibrations deep into the bodies creating a beautiful balance of focused spoken word and infinite sound and silence. The nidra extends into a bath of pure sound, with the magical tones of three gongs and other sacred instruments. We soak in the silence after the sound, before a gentle closing mediation to bring you to new point of stillness and readiness for the world outside.
Gong baths are not recommended during pregnancy, or for people with extreme tinnitus, sound-induced epilepsy, severe mental health issues, for those with a pace-maker or metal implants from recent surgery.
